Professional Liability

White, Oliver & Amundson firm members are particularly experienced in professional malpractice representation. Firm members have defended legal, accountancy and medical malpractice actions, and utilize their experience and knowledge to provide cost effective management of professional liability actions. This experience extends not only to jury trial verdicts, but also to arbitrations, mediations and all venues of alternative dispute resolution. Mr. White has also been retained to render expert opinions and testimony regarding the standard of care as it pertains to legal malpractice matters.

White, Oliver & Amundson attorneys have successfully defended claims for breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, breach of contract, intentional and negligent interference with prospective economic advantage, among others. In addition, the Firm's practice includes matters of complex commercial litigation involving alleged violations of antitrust law, trademark and copyright infringement, and other areas of intellectual property. Moreover, Firm members have been retained by major insurers to render advice as to insurers' rights and responsibilities for associated areas of insurance coverage. White, Oliver & Amundson attorneys have also been actively involved in litigation relating to business entities through its representation of accounting, legal and real estate professionals.

Employment Litigation

As the law evolves, the law of wrongful termination, sexual harassment and other employment-related matters change as well. As a result of their work with corporations and business entities of all types and description, the Firm members have been retained to represent businesses in connection with the handling of cases pertaining to wrongful termination, sexual harassment, age, gender, race and other discrimination and related problems. Insurance Law

White, Oliver & Amundson attorneys have trained in insurance defense litigation. As a result, the Firm has cultivated and developed other areas of business and non-insurance clients. However, the Firm has continuing relationships with insurance companies and the Firm members have frequently been employed to render coverage opinions related to many types of insurance, from automobile situations to professional errors and omissions coverage.

Additional areas of expertise in insurance matters encompass the tort of "bad faith" wherein insurer conduct is potentially actionable for failure to defend, settle or pay claims. Firm members are among the leaders in Southern California in the defense of all aspects of insurance "bad faith" situations. As a result of Firm members' experience in defending many of these cases, providing opinions of coverage and doing first-party bad faith work, White, Oliver & Amundson has a strong grasp of the duties and responsibilities of an insurer and can advise them accordingly with regard to the proper methods to avoid the payment of meritless claims and exposure to excess liability.

Personal Injury

The Firm manages and maintains a varied personal injury practice. White, Oliver & Amundson is equipped to deal with all aspects of personal injury litigation from the most minor injuries to complex severe injury cases or wrongful death. For instance, while Firm members have significant experience in the defense of automobile accidents and the multiplicity of problems that they cause, they also have a vast knowledge of the legal principles applicable to medical and psychological problems in complex and complicated personal injury litigation.

Products defended have included, among other things, vehicles (including trucks, trailers, SUV's and ATC's) shop and gardening equipment, and blood products. The Firm is particularly adept at organizing these cases, preparing a meaningful program for their resolution, and selecting cost conscious and experienced experts.
